I have been renewing my mind for many years now. If you have been around me for a decent chunk of time, you have seen my life pretty much transform before your very eyes. HOT MESS is a nice way to describe my life before I surrendered to HIM.

Ever seen the hashtag #beautifully broken? I def didn’t qualify for that.. LOL There was nothing beautiful about my self destruction and reckless lifestyle. Was I fun? Sure! But the fun I had leads to death.

Anyone who has ever dealt with addiction knows they teach you to just make it through “today”. This is also Biblical. HE says that mercy is new every morning. Each day HE gives us the strength and tools needed for that day. (HE wants us to rely on HIM each day for it anew) If we choose to mediate on HIS word, (CHEW-CHEW-CHEW, SWALLOW, REPEAT!!) even a verse at a time, it starts to become part of who you are. Who you were created to be. The promises to you given, start to transform and heal as you just keep going. Keep stepping. Keep trusting. Stay humble. Be obedient.

The word of God has to be part of the transformation for true healing and lasting results. If you knew me then, watched me then, rolled with me then, prayed for me then, then you know the words you are reading hold weight. I have not “arrived”, but by GOD I HAVE BEEN TRANSFORMED!!

There are still so many areas that needs pruning and such, but I will let HIM guide Me into being who HE has called Me to be one day at a time. I can look back and see how far I have come! This encourages Me to not give up but to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. I am now a MIGHTY WOMAN OF GOD. No longer that hot mess and reckless broken girl. 🙂

Romans 12:2 (AMP) says: ² And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be ^[a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
